Angela J. Reese of Covington, passed away November 21, 2015, at the age of 54. Angie was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord, was fervent in her prayer life and passionately led her family in the ways of the Word. For 25 years, she selflessly dedicated her life caring for those who couldn't care for themselves, and most recently, those residents of Traditions Health & Rehab, in Lithonia. She loved to decorate and cook, and was famous for her macaroni and cheese and breakfast dishes. Angie loved laughter and cherished her friends dearly. Once she called you "friend", you were a friend for life. To her family, she was their everything - their rock, mentor and voice of reason. Angie was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Ruby Jones.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, James "Snap" Reese; daughter, Shawnta Jones; granddaughter, Kaylin Jones; step-daughters, Adrienne Heath and her husband, Stacey, Javonne "Shaun" Quarterman and her husband, William, Tamara Yolanda Oros; step-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Larry McCambry, Lori Ann Mathews; brothers, James Edward Perkins, Wallace Mack Jones, Jr.; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services for Angie will be held Friday, November 27, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Reverend Micheal Benton officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 25, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
