Larry Eugene Allums of Hawkinsville, passed away November 16, 2015, at the age of 62. A 1971 graduate of Newton County High School, Larry attended Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church while living in Covington. He was an employee of Lithonia Lighting for 37 years. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Tillman Allums.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Allums; brother and sister-in-law, Monte and Susan Allums; niece Erin Allums; nephew, Jacob Allums; as well as numerous cousins.
A Memorial Service for Larry will be held Friday, November 20, 2015, 5:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Tommy Ross and Rev. John Ozley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, one hour prior to the service, from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 700, Porterdale, GA 30070.
