Carolyn Harper of Covington, passed away February 7, 2016, at the age of 83. Mrs. Harper was born in Thomasville, GA, to the late William Allen and Mamie Belle (Banks) McDaniel. She enjoyed working with her roses and will be remembered for her tasty cornbread and fried chicken. She liked to read and keep up with current events. Mrs. Harper loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Harper; and their son, Ricky Harper.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her daughter, Jill Harper of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Marianne Harper of Hiram, Tracy Harper of Atlanta; grandchildren, Megan Harper, Sarah George, Christopher Harper, Andrew Harper; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Tommie Jean Cooper of Cairo.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Harper will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016, 3:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family for visitation on Thursday, one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.
