Sara Louise Cochran Harris of Covington passed away February 19, 2016, at the age of 79. Mrs. Harris dearly loved her family and cherished the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She liked hummingbirds, and she enjoyed flower gardening. Preceding her in death was her husband, Vinson Crosby; parents, Marion and Marie Cochran; grandchildren, Missy, Mika, Jathem; and son-in-law, JP Parker.
Survivors include her daughters, Amberly Harris and her fiancé, Patrick Lahr of Covington, Tara Crosby and her boyfriend, Anthony Bennett of McDonough, Eva Crosby Parker of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Bettie Crosby of Covington, Darryl and June Crosby of Peachtree City, Broy and Heather Crosby of Atlanta; grandchildren, Dawn, Missy, Brandon, Lloyd, Danielle, Michael, Nicole, Andrew, Vincent, Savannah, Devon, Trinity, Madalyn, Kadence, Lantry; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Marie Hanson of Ellijay, Susie and Richard Davis of Stone Mountain; former husband, John Harris; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Harris will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016, 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Mr. Wayne Hardy officiating. Inurnment to follow in Memory Chapel Mausoleum at Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are welcome to join the family at the funeral home for visitation 2 hours prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
