Archie Eugene "Gene" Turner of Conyers, passed away March 28, 2018, at 76 years of age. A genuine family man, Gene enjoyed get-togethers with loved ones. Whether fishing or working in the yard, he relaxed by spending time outdoors. Gene's favorite pastime though was unearthing hidden treasures while "junking" with his wife, Brenda, whom he affectionately referred to as "Precious". Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Lee and Juanita (Davis) Turner; sister, Joyce Woodall; brother, Wayne Turner; step-daughter, Rhonda Sue Davis; as well as his Fur-Baby, Cotton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Brenda Sue Turner: daughter, Bobbie Jean Howell; son, Raymond Eugene Turner; step-son, Donald E. Jones; 4 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Clayton; Fur-Baby, Katie; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Gene will be held Saturday, March 31, 2018, 11:00 AM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and entombment following at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, March 30th, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
