James Hubert Ivey of Loganville, passed away July 10, 2018, at the age of 94. Known as "Pop" to the kids, Mr. Ivey was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed being outdoors in the nature, traveling to the mountains and fishing. In addition, he liked woodworking in his spare time. Mr. Ivey was a simple Christian man and loved his family – especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James Douglas Ivey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Frances "Jean" Ivey; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and W.L. Quinton; grandson, Nathan Quinton and wife, Katie; great-grandchildren, Levi Quinton, Garrett Quinton; sister, Florence Burrell; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Ivey will be held Friday, July 13, 2018, 2:00 P.M, in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Josh Ayers officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
