Rhonda Tate Robinson of Covington, passed away July 27, 2018, at the age of 62. Rhonda was a faithful member of Mansfield Baptist Church and loved Southern Gospel music. She said that it "spoke to her soul like nothing else". Rhonda was a 1973 graduate of Clarke Central High, in Athens. She was an avid fan of UGA football and enjoyed vacationing to the beach and mountains. Rhonda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Bettie Tate.
Survivors include her loving husband of 13 years, Pat Robinson; sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Christy Drew, Ben and Erica Drew; grandchildren, Alyson Chudzik, Aubrie Drew, Tate Drew, Benion Drew, Faith Drew, Raleigh Drew; step-children, Emily Robinson, Marley Robinson, Emmett Robinson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry W. and Linda Tate; nephews, Timothy W. Tate, Chris Morris; lifelong friend (like a sister), Linda Turner; as well as numerous other close friends.
A Memorial Service for Rhonda will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018, 6:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Jeff Perkins and Pastor Allen Drew officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mansfield Baptist Church, 101 Woodlawn Road, Mansfield, GA 30055; Southside Church, 8144 Jefferson Road, Athens, GA 30607, or any animal rescue organization.
