obit for Eloise Martin

 

Eloise Martin, of Covington, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at 89 years of age. Mrs. Martin was known for being stern, yet caring, and her heart was open to giving without expectations and loving unconditionally. She happily shared her life experience

and wisdom with others, and she naturally took on the role of mother to those that needed support and guidance. She had a passion for cooking and was ready at a moment's notice to make a delicious meal for her family. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie James Martin; parents, Andrew William and Susie Mae (Jessie) Brantley; sisters, Juanita Thornton, Endia Mae Harris; and brother, Arthur Lee Brantley.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cynthia Cromedy, Mary Ann Martin; sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Tara Thomas, Tory and Tara Martin; grandchildren, Andre Thomas, Gregory Gee Thomas, Sheena Cromedy, Stephen Cromedy, Kia Cromedy, Craig Pate, Carey Pate; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, J. Sue and Lewis Johnson, Annie Mae Ivory, Susie and Bill Tells, Theresa Warren, Annie Lee Bishop; brothers and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Brantley, Curtis Brantley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Martin will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at Thankful Baptist Church, 1201 Thankful Road, in Madison, with --- officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church, one hour prior to her service, from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
