Rev. Mister Thomas J. Metzger of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the age of 67.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Dolly (Finn) Metzger; sister, Rebecca Zimmer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Metzger; daughter, Melissa Cannon; son, Jason Metzger; grandchildren, Bronwen Wilson and husband, Austin, Mack, Joseph, Rose, Cora, Bishop Cannon; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Charolette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Javier Larrinaga; Lora and Gary Behl; Teresa and Lee Hulett; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Louise Metzger; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass for Deacon Tom will be held Monday, November 25, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at St. Anna's Catholic Church, 1401 Alcovy Street, in Monroe, with Rev. Daniel R. Toof officiating, with reception following in the Parish Hall. Interment will take place in Honey Creek Woodlands, 2625 Highway 212 SW, in Conyers. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Sunday, November 24, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
