Frances M. Thomson Swigart, of Covington, passed away August 1, 2021, at 94 years of age. Mrs. Swigart was a devoted and active member of Porterdale Baptist Church, as well as participating in the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief Team efforts. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert E. Thomson; second husband, Robert H. Swigart; and parents, Oliver A. and Bertie (O'Bryant) Martin.
Survivors include her sons, Philip M. Thomson, Stephen A. Thomson; daughter-in-law, Linda T. Thomson; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Thomson, Lori Elaine Thomson, Mark Stephen Thomson.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Swigart will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, 1:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access, Road in Covington, with Rev. David Wheeler officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday, August 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Porterdale Baptist Church, P.O. Box 637, Porterdale, GA 30070.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
