Joan Arter, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the age of 87. Miss. Arter had a passion for writing poetry and published two children's books. She was the owner of Katchamaverick for over 30 years and loved living the country life raising cows, horses, pigs, and chickens. In her spare time, she liked to play Bingo and Rummy. Miss. Arter was strong willed and was always willing to help others.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Prendergast (Bill); grandchildren; Robby Archer, Wendy Archer; great-grandchildren, Patrick Archer, Brandon Archer (Haley), KJ Nash (Katie), Chandler Nash (Olivia), Zane Camp, Dallas Archer, Katlynn Archer; great-great-grandchildren, Maria Archer, Rylee Archer, Mayzlee Archer, Kason Nash, and one on the way.
