Jennie Alesi passed away January 18, 2013, at the age of 91, at St. Mary's, in Bogart, GA, after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Charles J. Alesi, and granddaughter, Gina Alesi. Ms. Alesi was born in Chicago and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, in the 1960's, where she lived for 45 years. She was a property manager for Villa Frasca Apartments, in Ft. Lauderdale, and retired after 20 years of managing several travel agencies in Broward County. Later, Ms. Alesi and her husband moved to Georgia to be near family. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, in Covington.
She is survived by her son, Joel (Charlotte) Alesi; daughter, Charlene (Herb) Rosenthal, all of Covington; grandchildren, Joseph McArtor, Jennifer McArtor, Cherie (Vince) Frankson, Charles J. (Colette) Alesi II; great-grandchildren, Bernadette, Luke and Amanda Frankson, Benjamin and Gabriel Levin, Casen Alesi; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013, 11:00 AM, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, in Covington. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Wednesday, January 23, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made, in her memory, to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, 2625 Highway 212 SE, Conyers, GA 30094.
