Sylvia Willard Rickman of Conyers, passed away December 31, 2012, at the age of 71. She was a faithful member of Harvest Baptist Church, in Covington. Mrs. Rickman was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, spending time with her family, and getting a manicure and pedicure. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Dale Rickman; father, Ernest Franklin Willard, Sr.; mother, Jennie Lou Willard McCullough; sisters, Hazel Miller, Sara Allen, Shirley Dreiske; and her brother, Ernest Franklin Willard, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Ty Harmon, Rita Hammonds, all of Covington, Cindy and Greg Speer of Conyers, Amanda and Marlon Pollard of Newborn; step-son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Tracie Rickman of Chattanooga, TN; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Shuert of Covington; several nieces, nephews, and a cousin.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Rickman will be held Friday, January 4, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Richard Culpepper officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 3, from 6:00-9:00 PM.
