Catherine “Lois” Allison passed away February 19, 2014 at her home in Covington. She was 67 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Allison loved her family, sports, and watching game shows. In addition to enjoying music and dancing, she loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Mrs. Allison just enjoyed life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Timothy Allison; parents, John Harrison and Katheryn Aurelia (Arrowsmith) Denton; and sister, Leah Rouse.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jon Holdorf, Jackie Thomas and Mike Daniels, Melissa and Don Bliven, all of Covington, Timmye and Leo Curvin of Mansfield, Teresa and Khalid Amin of Fayetteville; son, Danny Allison of Panama City, FL; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne and Harry Payne of Fort Valley, Mamie Carol and Billy Barfield, Jackie and Bobby Hartley, all of Covington, Gloria Kirksey of McRae; brothers, Glenn Kirksey of Perry, Bobby Kirksey of Roberta, Bruce Allison of Rochelle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Allison will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 21, 2014, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Rev. Lucas Allison officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, February 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
