Frances Allen, of Covington, passed away February 13, 2014, at the age of 93. Mrs. Allen loved her family dearly. She also loved working in her yard and enjoyed reading, working on puzzles and word searches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Allen; son, Phillip Freeman; parents, Annie Lou (Hackett) and William Dudley Freeman; sister, Dalphner E. Mitchell.
Survivors include her great-nephew, Jimmy Edmondson and his wife, Karen of Oxford; niece Betty Jean Morris and her husband, Eddie of Loganville; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews,.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Allen will be held Sunday, February 16, 2014, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Pastor Tandy Mayo officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
