Kathy Coursey-Boes, of Oxford, passed away February 14, 2014, at the age of 53. She was an active member of the Metastatic Breast Cancer Network and served on the Board of Directors for as long as she was able. Kathy enjoyed sharing her experience with other cancer survivors through speaking engagements. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading. Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Scheu.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, William “Billy” Boes; daughter, Addie Boes; other daughter, Brandy Thornton; grandchildren, Nathan Boes, Savannah Thornton; father, Grady Coursey; brothers-in-law, Eddie Scheu, Mickey Boes, Steven Boes; father-in-law, William John Boes, Sr.; sister at heart, Jill Long; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Kathy will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 22, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
