Gail Sorrows Woodruff, of Conyers, passed away April 14, 2015, at the age of 59. Mrs. Woodruff was employed by Stanley Proto for 19 years and attended Friendship Baptist Church in Atlanta. Mrs. Woodruff enjoyed family activities, whether it was traveling or outside by the pool in the sunshine. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Ann (Donaldson) Sorrows.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Jerry Woodruff; daughter, Jerrica Woodruff, both of Conyers; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Herbert of Conyers, Wanda and Albert Taylor of Monticello, Cathy Sorrows of Conyers; brothers and sister-in-law, Billy Jordan of Hampton, Gordon Batchelor of Covington, T.J. and Faye Woodruff of Mansfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great nephew.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Woodruff will be held Friday, April 17, 2015, 4:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Rickey Fields officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, April 15, from 4:00 – 9:00 PM and Thursday, April 16, from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.
