Billy Howard Bell of Decatur, passed away April 16, 2015, at the age of 82. He was a veteran of the United States Army having proudly served his country during the Korean conflict. Mr. Bell retired from General Motors after more than 25 years of dedicated service. He loved playing golf and was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. Mr. Bell enjoyed coaching his children's sports when they were younger and was a John Fogarty enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane (Young) Bell; parents, Howard Ernest and Bessie Lee (Richards) Bell; and his sister, Betty Jewell (Bell) Parsons.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Mike and Debbie Bell, David and Carmen Bell, Angie and Adam Cooper, Kellie and Stephen Donahoo; grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Zak Treff, Kevin and Alaina Bell, Kaitlyn Bell, Nick and Sara Bell, Zack and Hope Bell, Lenzie Rutledge, Samantha Cooper, Avery Donahoo, Ryan Donahoo; great-grandchildren, Kamden and Kasen Treff, Camille and Baby Emma Bell, Lily and Bailey Mullis; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Carole Ramsburg, Ruby Young Sauceman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Bell will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Adam Cooper officiating and entombment following at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, May 2, two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
