Jan Malloy of Covington, passed away January 12, 2018, at the age of 71. A devout Christian, Ms. Malloy was a faithful member of Prospect United Methodist Church for over 10 years. She was a registered nurse and retired after 30 plus years serving the needs of others. Ms. Malloy's family will remember her as a loving mother and grandmother who provided for them selflessly and without hesitation. Her hobbies included baking, reading, and cheering on her beloved Atlanta Braves. Ms. Malloy was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Norton; and father, Dick Malloy.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Huenke; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carrie Huenke; grandchildren; Joseph, Anna; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Bennie Renick, Mary and Rick Pryor; brother and sister-in-law, James and Kaye Malloy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Ms. Malloy will be held Monday, January 15, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Prospect United Methodist Church, 6752 Highway 212, in Covington, with Rev. Warren Huddleston officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends at the church, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help the family cover funeral expenses, or, to Prospect United Methodist Church.
