Agneeze McCart of Oxford, passed away May 20, 2018, at the age of 90. Mrs. McCart was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her biscuits. Mrs. McCart loved working outside, and at the home that she and her husband built together, always had a raked-clean yard and driveway. Swinging in her swing under the pecan trees was a favorite pastime. Mrs. McCart was an avid fan of the Liberty Quartet, Atlanta Braves, and NASCAR. She was preceded in death by her loving husband OKanus McCart; son, Luther "June Bug" McCart; parents, Claude and Dovie Ellis.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Charlie Henderson; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie McCart, James and Megan McCart; grandchildren, Tim and Sherie McCart, Todd and Melinda McCart, Torri McCart, Scotti and Chris Hardesty, Stacey and Michael Sigman, Nicole and Ryan Mauney, Tonya and Michael Doss, Justin and Melissa Henderson; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong family friend, Linda Millwood.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. McCart will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with son-in-law, Charlie Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Congregational Cemetery, 3813 Hwy 81 N., Oxford, 30054. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Tuesday, May 22, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
