Mary Tant of Covington, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at the age of 75. Mrs. Tant was sassy, had a great sense of humor and "worked undercover". She also made friends with anyone she met. In her selfless nature, Mrs. Tant was always serving those in need and would often do so without wanting any recognition. She enjoyed sitting outside on her swing, with some Lays potato chips and a Coke, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Tant; son, Charles Tant; grandson, Dustin Daniecki; parents, Odell and Nellie Ruth Gunn.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Raygina and John Daniecki, Tammy and Ricky Childs, Mary Jones and Michael Vaughn; sons, Thomas Conner, Raymond Tant; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Tant will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating and interment following in Porterdale Baptist Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Saturday, March 23, from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.
