obit for Amy Elizabeth Barron

Amy Elizabeth Barron, of Social Circle, formerly of Grayson, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at 38 years of age. Amy had many interests and hobbies - fishing, crafting, camping, cooking, but her creative talents shined brightest when it came to baking. Her most praise-worthy confection was an amazing, mouth-watering cheesecake. Amy's love of baking even lent itself to people taking notice that she always "smelled like something sweet"! She adored her cats, loved coffee of all kinds, Starbucks especially, and she had an incredible sense of style. Amy's nature of compassion and generosity made her a natural caregiver. She volunteered at women's shelters and was ready at a moment's notice to provide help to those in need. In her last act of selflessness, Amy gave the gift of life through organ donation. She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Lee Higginbotham, Sr.

Amy's memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved her, especially her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Dalton Reisner; mother, Lynne Higginbotham; Brett Reisner; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Steven Gibbs, Taylor Higginbotham; as well as brother, T.L. Higginbotham.

A private service will be held at a later date.
