Barbara "Maw Maw/Granny" Futral, of Oxford, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019, at 78 years of age. Mrs. Futral's family captured the true essence of who she was by saying, "Her love was deep, her heart was pure, and her love was endless!". Her deep capacity to care for others was shared with family and people she met along the way. Mrs. Futral had a special place in her heart for children, and she especially loved holding babies. She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Futral; and mother, Maggie Pritchard.
Left to remember and cherish the memory of Mrs. Futral are her daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Futral, Deborah and Wade Orso, Becky and Wayne Wilbanks, Candy Futral, Melissa and Troy Shadley; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Nancy Cruse, JR Futral, Robert Futral, Randy Futral, James and Trish Futral; 38 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly McMichael; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Janet Pritchard, Randy and Susan Pritchard, Mike Pritchard; several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved fur babies, Lilly and Bear.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Futral will be held Saturday, October 26, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Rick King officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive SW, in Atlanta. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Friday, October 25, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
