Rev. Arie M. Heard, of Covington, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at the age of 76. Her continuous hunger for learning led her to earn a B.A. in English from the University of Miami, a B. Among her decades of traveling the world, Arie also worked as an experienced insurance agent, dedicated time to her peers as a trusted counselor, and blessed many, many people with her unparalleled level of friendship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Mack and Edna Mildred (Stone) Mayo; and sister, Susan Mayo Almond.

Arie will be deeply missed and forever adored by friends and family near and far, especially her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Chad Nelson; daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Jimmy Powers; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sally Heard. 1. So sorry to hear of Ms. Arie's passing. I have worked for her cutting her grass for the past 6 years. After every cutting she would always text me thanking me and leaving a Scripture verse. We pray for the family in the coming days.
