Celest Nicole James, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the age of 27. Celest had a heart of gold and was everyone's best friend. She was sweet, kind, and always put others before herself. Seeing Celest's wonderful smile would make anyone's day better. She loved family and children unconditionally.
Survivors include her loving husband, Wade James; sons, Aubrey James, Reed James; mother Ruth Torres (Edgar); father, Donnie Viars (Lora Blankenship); sister, Catherine Viars; brother, Bubba Viars (Bailee); as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Celest will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Jeremiah Hosford officiating and interment following in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3962 Salem Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 12 Noon – 2:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public. Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
