Mabel A. Bone of Rutledge, passed away March 13, 2015, at the age of 95. She loved to spend time in her yard tending to her flowers. Additionally, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, and playing the organ. Mrs. Bone will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Bone; parents, Elisha and Annie Studdard Allen; grandson, Kevin A. Bone; brother, Rev. Robert Allen.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, Joel A. and Cindy Bone of Rutledge, Rev. Clayton L. and Karen Bone of Covington; grandchildren, Karen and Michael Knoop of Greenwood, IN, Julie Bone of Rutledge, James Bone of Conyers, Michael Bone of Covington, Denise Bone of Plant City, FL, David and Dawn Tupper of Oxford; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Cleo Fuller of Covington; sister-in-law, Bobbye Allen of Bogart; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bone will be held Monday, March 16, 2015, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Clayton Bone and Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating and interment following in Rutledge City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, March 15, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
