Olga Anselma Oyola of Conyers, passed away April 3, 2017, at 72 years of age. Ms. Oyola, was blessed with the voice of an angel, and knew she was called by God to spread His message through song. An ordained minister of the Pentecostal faith, she was truly a soldier of God who was very proud of her relationship with Him, tirelessly sharing His love. Ms. Oyola will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helin and Tomasita (Santiago) Colón; a sister and a brother.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Adam Thier, Mindy and André Merkerson; sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent and Dot Colón, Edward and Yukiko Oyola; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Frances Colón, Sonia Colón, Norma Santiago, Maria Christina Hernandez; brothers, Miguel Santiago, Johnny Colón; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Ms. Oyola will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Friday, April 7, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
