Ricky McDonald of Conyers, passed away April 2, 2017, at 57 years of age. Ricky enjoyed fishing, 'shooting' pool, and playing horse shoes. Having grown up in Belmont Baptist Church, he enjoyed the company of his friends, and will be remembered as a loving family man. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ruby (Shaw) McDonald; brothers, Jerry McDonald and Reese McDonald.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Tammy McDonald of Conyers; sons, Jason McDonald, Kenneth Lindler, Randall McDonald, all of Conyers, Devin R. McDonald, Sr., of Covington; grandchildren, Abby McDonald, Ariel McDonald, Madison McDonald, Devin R. McDonald, Jr., Ashlynn Jo McDonald, Randall "Hunter" McDonald, Dominick McDonald; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor Fleenor of Johnson City, TN, Millie and David Rogers of Huntsville, AL, Ann and Ray Dickerson of Covington, Cindy and Larry Griffeth of Eatonton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Jackie McDonald of Sparta, Jay and Cathy McDonald of Knoxville, TN; sisters-in-law, Linda McDonald, Janet McDonald; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. McDonald will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Eric Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home Tuesday, April 4, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
