Matthew Thomas Cushing of McDonough, passed away April 10, 2017, at 28 years of age. Matt enjoyed riding motorcycles, skateboarding, hiking, and weightlifting. When he was younger, he also spent time outside hunting and fishing. Matt was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Tobias.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Joy Cushing of McDonough; sister and brother-in-law, Kelley and Michael White of Mansfield; brother and sister-in-law, Micah and Brittany Cushing of Conyers; maternal grandmother, Jerry Hudgins and husband, Tony of Gay; paternal grandparents, Tom and Joye Cushing of Locust Grove; nieces, Brooke, Autumn, Charlotte, and Savannah; nephews, Bryar and Easton.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Tony Howeth officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Friday, April 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Inurnment will take place Monday, April 17, 2:00 PM, at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington.__
