Janet Lee Elizabeth Chandler Mitchell of Newborn, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the age of 72. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed listening to gospel music, fishing and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, McKayla Grace Clark; parents, Otis and Corine Chandler; sister, Sarah Chandler; brother, John Chandler; best friend, Ruthey Conner.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Bradley Silvers; sons and daughters-in-law; David and Susan Mitchell, Darren and Marsha Mitchell, Bobby and Rallie Mitchell, Isaac and Sharon Mitchell; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Haygood, Sandra Lott, Mary Wade; brothers, William Chandler, Charles Chandler, Larry Chandler, Harry Chandler; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Mitchell will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington with Pastor Joshua Conner and Pastor Odis Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Memorial Gardens, 1635 Highway 81 SW, in Loganville. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 16, from 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, January 17, from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
