Joellen L. Bryant

Joellen L. Bryant, of Covington, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at the age of 83. Mrs. Bryant was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired employee of Crawford Long Hospital. She had a an exceptionally beautiful voice and loved to sing throughout her life. Mrs. Bryant took great pleasure in being outdoors. She enjoyed traveling to Yellowstone, deer hunting, spending time at her house on Lake Oconee, and especially fishing – which she was known to out-fish any man! Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Linch and Rachel (Vanzant) Daniel.

 

Survivors include her loving husband, Terry Bryant; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Sheila Bonds; grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Josh Dwiggins, Joshua and Courtney Bonds; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Dwiggins, Brody Dwiggins, Lucas Dwiggins, and Jaxon Bonds.

 

A Private Memorial Service for Mrs. Bryant will be held at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. Cody McNutt officiating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family regrets that the services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 1139 Usher Street NE, Covington, GA 30013.

 

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
