obit for Nafeesa Spence

 

Nafeesa Spence, also known as "Min", of Covington, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the age of 74. A devout Christian, woman of God who enjoyed traveling to her hometown of Jamaica W.I. was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ Apostolic, Inc. She enjoyed traveling to Jamaica W.I., reading her daily devotions, and was proud of her roots. In addition, Mrs. Spence was a kind woman that was known for helping all in need and enjoyed and was a lover of music from Gospel to Reggae. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Tanya Wallace; son-in-law, Robin Foster; grandchildren, Crystal, Tyler, Dvonte, Courtney, Chevelle, Bianca; god-daughter, Nikeisha Miles; as well as several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

 

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Spence will be held Sunday, January 17, 2020, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with her family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 12 Noon – 2 PM.

 

CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.  In addition, gatherings are limited to 50 persons or less in our facility at one time.  Please honor these restrictions for the safety of the family, yourself, and our staff.
