Arthur Bowers Barber, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the age of 77. Mr. Barber was a hardworking businessman; he painted houses, and everyone hired him. He was a selfless man and always took care of those in need with whatever was needed. Mr. Barber was a great handyman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and did not hesitate to give away his crops. He was preceded in death by his parents, Worth Lunsford and Mauda Barber; and brother, W. L. Barber.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jane Barber; brother and sister-in-law, Benny and Connie Barber; nephew and niece-in-law, Chris and Wendy Barber; great-nieces, Anna Beth Barber and Abby Kate Barber.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Barber will be held Saturday, May 8, 2:00 P.M., at Living Way World Church, 4051 Highway 81, in Covington, with Beth Findlay and Dodie Bowen officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the church one hour prior to his service.
