Earnest "Pete" Mask, of Covington, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, at the age of 89. Mr. Mask was a devout Christian and member of Gaithers Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending his time in the woods hunting or by the lake fishing. Mr. Mask was a loving husband and family man; he loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. J. Mask and Era Mask.
His memory will be lovingly cherished by his wife, Sylvia Mask; children and their spouses, Richard and Debbie Mask, Teresa and Dicky Thomson, Maria and Tommy Ashby; grandchildren, Robin, Rick, Beth, Frank, Alan, Eliysha; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Mask will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Andy Parker officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
