James Laudermilk, Sr., of Social Circle, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the age of 73. Mr. Laudermilk was the owner of Triple J Transport, in Newton County, Georgia. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and in the woods hunting. Mr. Laudermilk also coached a Little League football team. He loved his family and adored his wife. Mr. Laudermilk was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Bennett Laudermilk; son, Steve Laudermilk; and parents, Thelma and John Laudermilk.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Evans, Trisha Jones; sons, James Laudermilk, Jr.; Alex Laudermilk; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Laudermilk will be held Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Carter Memorial Cemetery, GA-81, in Loganville. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
