Kathryn Knight, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the age of 95. Mrs. Knight was a member of Mount Tabor Methodist Church and had a great love for her Lord. She was very outgoing, funny, and enjoyed life. In her spare time, Mrs. Knight enjoyed baking and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Knight; son, John David Frix; parents, Ruben and Katie Mae Elliot; brother, Bennett Elliott; and step-sons, Edward Marshall, George Marshall.
Survivors include her daughters, Maryann Duncan, Joann Redmond; step-daughters, Nancy Ferguson (Jerry), Joyce Adams; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; as well as 5 great-great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Knight will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Tom Harris officiating and interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, in Conyers. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Sunday, two hours prior to her service from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
