Winston White, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the age of 80. Mr. White was a dedicated member of Eastridge Community Church. He was a man of God and loved spending his time outdoors. Mr. White enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter who shared many hunting trips with his sons and grandsons. But above all else, family is what he treasured most. Mr. White was preceded in death by his daughters, Regina White Robinson, Valerie White Edge; parents, AC and Helen White.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy White; daughter, Stephanie White Peters; sons, Stephen White; grandchildren, Jana Nix, Quintine Robinson, Chandler White, Carlie Edge, Cayla Edge, Kherington White, Bryleigh White; and great-grandchildren, Preston Nix, Maverick Nix.
A Funeral Service for Mr. White will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2022, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Scott Moore and Brad Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Tuesday, March 29, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp's latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
