German Lagares, of Covington, passed away, June 24, 2015, at the age of 66. A native of Puerto Rico, Mr. Lagares had been a resident of the United States for 50 years. He was employed by Art Kraft Container Corp. in Tullytown, PA for 40 years. Mr. Lagares loved being outside doing lawn work and landscaping. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Lagares was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Anna (Pagan) Lagares.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Leona E. Lagares; daughters and son-in-law, Lucy Lagares and Rodney Derry of Covington, Maria Lagares of Trenton, NJ; Goddaughter, Ashley Lagares, Miami, FL; grandchildren, Rodney Derry, Jr., Kevin E. Santana, Jiana Meyers; sisters, Carmen A. Cubano, Elba L. Lagares, Ana Rosa Lagares; brothers, Otilio Lagares, Juan A. Lagares, Nelson Lagares; nephew, Wilfredo Lagares and niece, Blanca I. Lagares, as well as other nieces and nephews living in Puerto Rico.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lagares will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, June 26, from 6 – 9 PM. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Leona E. Lagares.
