Kathy Klimaszewski, 63, of Mansfield, passed away June 24, 2015. Kathy was a 1969 graduate of Newton County High School. While attending Newton, she played the clarinet and was a majorette in the high school band. Following graduation, she attended the University of West Georgia, in Carrollton, for two years. Kathy attended St. Augustine Catholic Church and Mansfield United Methodist Church. She was a very loving daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and adored her. She was preceded in death by her father, Matthew E. Klimaszewski.
Survivors include her mother, Eleanor Klimaszewski of Mansfield; siblings and their spouses, Ann Woleslagle, Cindy McGahee, both of Mansfield, Matt and Barbie Klimaszewski of Newnan, Steve and Linda Klimaszewski of Mount Kisco, NY, Libby and Ralph Watson of Newnan; many nieces and nephews; as well as special friends and caregivers, Sue Rieke, Muriel Christian, Donna Flo, Georgia Brown.
Funeral Services for Kathy will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with the Honorable Samuel D. Ozburn and Pete Carter officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, June 26, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
