Michael Stephen Moss, 66, passed away June 25, 2015. Mr. Moss, a U.S. Army veteran, served in Vietnam. He retired from the CDC, was a life-time resident of Conyers, and member of Zion Baptist Church. Mike was very outgoing, an avid golfer and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. (Ted) and Marie Cowan Moss.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Opal Moss Yates and Ryan of Bowdon; grandchildren, Reeve Yates, Miller Kate Yates; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Joan Moss of Conyers; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Mike will be held Monday, June 29, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Zion Baptist Church Chapel, 7037 Highway 212, Covington, GA 30016, with Rev. Reese Sanders officiating and interment following in Zion Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Sunday, June 28, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM.
