Joyce Price, age 86, of Covington, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019. Ms. Price was a longtime member of Porterdale Baptist Church where her love of music was shared both as a pianist and choir member. She spent 25 years working with Farm Credit Services and was a former member and past president of the Covington Pilot Club. Ms. Price was a caring and attentive mother, and as she followed her sons' high school and college basketball careers, she developed a passion for the sport and loved being courtside. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. (Bud) and Lillian (Moore) Rye; sisters, Christine Rye, Mary Rye Hunt; and brother, JW Rye.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa Price; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Karen Price, Scott and Susie Price; as well as grandchildren, Ben Price, Sydney Price, Lindsay Price.
A Funeral Service for Ms. Price will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Wheeler officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
