Updated obit for Bill Sadler

Bill Sadler, of Rutledge, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019, at the age of 70. Kindhearted and selfless, Mr. Sadler was an AA sponsor for over 24 years and was always helping others in the program. He enjoyed working in his shop whether it was rebuilding bikes, working on his truck or tinkering with his motorcycle. Mr. Sadler loved to ride his motorcycle and would ride to Colorado every year. He was a family man and spending time with them meant the most – he especially loved his grandbabies and his dog, Rascal, who was his best friend. In Mr. Sadler's spare time, he liked watching the History channel and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Anna Mae Sadler; brother, Ralph Sadler.

 

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Gailya Sadler; daughters and son-in-laws, Michelle Sadler, Danielle Sadler Cheek and David Cheek , Dawn and Keith Shaddix; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Deborah Hayes, Darrell Hayes, Scott Hayes and Melissa Gallant; grandchildren, Wesley Hayes, Jonathan and Angel Hayes, Jordan and Christina Hayes, Elizabeth and Blake Barron, Jacob Gallant, Sierra Driskell, Drew Cheek, Kadry Shaddix; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Barron; brother, Steve Sadler; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

A Memorial Service for Bill Sadler will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends may visit with his family, two hours prior to service, from 11:00 – 1:00 P.M. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the ASPCA at https://www.aspca.org/donate.
