Carolyn Evans Anderson of Covington, GA, passed away in her home December 24, 2014. She was born September 17, 1930, in Sweetwater, TN, to the late Ottis and Addifine Evans. She was an active member of her church, St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for many years, and dedicated her time in creating the pall that is used by the church. In addition to her service to the church, she devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to all whom she came in contact with. Mrs. Anderson also enjoyed sewing and embroidery. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lemuel Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Gregory Lancaster of Covington, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Anita Anderson of Social Circle, GA; three grandchildren, Josh Anderson, Nick Anderson, Kaitie and Robert Clark; and her brother, George Evans of Knoxville, TN.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Anderson will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014, 6:00 PM, at St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church, 375 Old Oxford Road, in Covington, with Father Kerry Wells and Tommy Stubbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Committal services will be held in the Chapel of Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN, Wednesday, December 31, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the Chapel, one hour prior, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
