Mary Lisa (Finger) Cox of Newborn, passed away March 20, 2017 at 51 years of age. Lisa was employed by Bio-Lab in Conyers for 12 years, Walmart Distribution Center for 5 years, and C.R. Bard for 6 years. She loved arts and crafts, as well as spending time at the beach. Lisa visited several churches and had recently accepted Christ as her Savior. She will be remembered as a loving mother who cherished the time she spent with her family for birthday and holiday celebrations. Lisa believed in keeping family traditions going. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Loyd Finger, Sr., Mary Alice (Hellard) Skelton, and step-father Floyd Skelton.
Survivors include her life partner, Lee Tarlton of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Mary Cox of Newborn, Michael Cox of Heflin, AL; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela and Mark Morris of Newborn, Michelle and Chuck Pettit of Conyers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nick and Lisa Skelton of Kissimmee, FL, Ralph, Jr., and Missy Finger of Mansfield, Paul and Rita Finger of Conyers, David and Melissa Finger of Covington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 24, 2017, 6:00 PM, at Red Oak United Methodist Church, 15105 Highway 36, Covington, with Pastor Rick Jackson officiating. Interment will follow Saturday, March 25, 11:00 AM, in Trinity Praise Center Cemetery, 23898 Highway 11, in Mansfield.
