obit for Mrs. Belinda Pendley

Belinda Pendley of Oxford, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the age of 65. Mrs. Pendley's work career included being employed by the State of Georgia, the Department of the Army, and Macedonia Baptist Church in Oxford. Most recently, Mrs. Pendley worked as a paraprofessional for Palmer Stone Elementary and Flint Hill Elementary. As an active member of Oxford Baptist Church, she wore many hats - Sunday School teacher, VBS volunteer for the Children's Ministry, and member of the Women's Ministry. Mrs. Pendley adored her family, and was a dedicated supporter of Relay for Life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Hobbs Rickert; father, John P. Hobbs.

 

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Pendley; daughter, Amanda Pendley; son, Joshua Pendley, both of Oxford; sister and brother-in-law; Pam and George Morton of Fayetteville, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Pamela Hobbs of Sharpsburg, GA; Wade and Judy Hobbs of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial Services for Mrs. Pendley will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017, 11:00 AM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Dr. John Hobbs, Rev. Wade Hobbs, and Pastor Andy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
