Carolyn Beth Thacker Lunsford of McDonough, passed away March 17, 2017, at the age of 73. Even though Mrs. Lunsford was unable to attend church in recent years due to various health issues, her faith remained strong. Armed with a strong work ethic, she devoted twenty years to the Family Dollar Store. A loving wife, mother and sister, Mrs. Lunsford was the glue that held her family together. She was also a loyal friend to many. Mrs. Lunsford was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Ollie Mae (Smith) Thacker; sister, Eunice Thacker; brothers, Wayne Thacker, and Charles Thacker.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel Lunsford; daughter, Connie Beth Lunsford of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane Arnold of Covington, Kathyrn and Gary Chesnut of Snellville; sisters-in-love, Karen Thacker of Oxford, Melanie Thacker of Covington; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Lunsford will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017, 3 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Allen officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, March 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
