Greg Walker of Lithonia, passed away March 4, 2017, at the age of 60. Mr. Walker, owner of Walker and Sons Construction Company, was always willing to share his framing talents with different charitable organizations. The Light House Village in Conyers was just one of the charities he helped in his spare time. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Wheeler; mother, Brenda Bray; father, Gene Walker.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley L. Walker; daughter, Melissa Duck and husband, William, of Monroe; sons, Walter Wheeler and Cheri Allgood of Jersey; Greg Walker, Jr., and wife, Karen, of Covington, Matthew Walker and wife, April, of Jersey; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Meredith of Grayson; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Walker will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 12:00 Noon at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Bill Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to his service, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 225 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA, 30303, or the American Heart Association, P.O.
