Lisa Peters of Social Circle, passed away April 1, 2018, at 60 years of age. In addition to time spent working at the library, Lisa's love for sewing was evident in the quilts she made, and in her stained-glass projects. She also enjoyed raising her chickens. But most of all, she treasured the time she spent with her family. Lisa will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn LaPointe; and father, Samuel Hicks.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Peters of Social Circle; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Mark Walker of Rincon, Katherine Peters of Orlando, FL, Amanda and Robert Evans of Social Circle, Samantha and Billy Cook of Savannah; son, Christopher Peters of Oxford; anticipated and greatly-loved granddaughter, Evelyn Skye Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Greg Tipton of Conyers; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Lisa will be held Friday, April 6, 2018, 1:00 PM, at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Alice Rogers and Greg Medley officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Friday, April 6, from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Lisa's memory, to W. H. Stanton Memorial Library, 407 West Hightower Trail, Social Circle, GA 30025.
