Joseph Jenkins Cornish, IV, of Griffin, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at the age of 70. Mr. Cornish proudly and dutifully served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a true gun enthusiast, and his hobbies included making leather gun holsters and other hand-crafted items. Mr. Cornish will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jenkins Cornish, III.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 30 years, Diann Cornish; daughters and sons-in-law, Wren Doggett, Barbara and Phillip Vogh, Dori and Matthew Parker; sons, Joseph Jenkins Cornish, V, Dustin Day; grandchildren, Whyler, Ellie, Hannah, Sage, Abby, Tristan, Phoebe, Cheyenne, Chloe, Olivia, Landon, Katie, Dalson; mother, Grace Cornish; and sisters, Catherine Colton, Charlotte Simmons.
