Wayne McDonald of Covington, passed away April 17, 2018, at 71 years of age. In addition to serving as president of Covington Lions Club, Mr. McDonald enjoyed spending time coaching and refereeing little league football. He was known as a fixer of most anything mechanical! Mr. McDonald was a hard-working man who was dedicated to providing for his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his high-school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Brenda McDonald; parents, Spearman Tarpley and Cora Lee (Burrell) McDonald. Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Charlie McDonald, Steven and Gina McDonald; and grandson, Zach McDonald.
A Graveside Service for Mr. McDonald will be held Friday, April 20, 2018, 1:00 PM, in Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, Covington, with Rev. Todd Heil officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, Thursday, April 19, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
